About This Class

Street medicine refers to the various types of medical care and health care practitioners who provide assistance and treatment at protests and demonstrations, whether they are short- or long-term.
Herbalists offer a valuable service in these situations with conditions ranging from anxiety, injuries, gastrointestinal problems, sleep disturbance, and pain.
We will look at different ways to assess these health needs and discuss single herbs and formulas to address them. There will be a focus on therapeutic categories such as anti-inflammatories, nervine, and digestive aids that are useful for a variety of conditions. This is a practical class for those already helping in these situations or those interested in taking part at these events. It is also open for anyone interested in learning these skills.
