Emily Ember Peters

Ember Peters (they/them) is a clinical herbalist, educator, medicine maker, gardener, nature nerd, and trans non-binary queer community organizer based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, unceded Mi’kmaq territory. They have been in clinical practice since 2014 and offer beginner to advanced herbal education rooted in harm reduction, accessibility, trans herbal care and trauma-informed care. For Ember, herbal medicine is a crucial part of growing empowered & resilient communities, mutual aid and webs of community care. They want to live in a world where empowering, holistic, integrative community healthcare is the norm, and where part of being a health care provider means being committed to actually addressing root causes of illness and disease. Ember is a Registered Herbal Practitioner with the Herbalist Association of Nova Scotia (HANS) and a co-founder of the Maritime School of Holistic Herbalism.
