Community Classes
ArborVitae is pleased to host a broad range of classes for the New York City community. Our community classes are led by expert local, national, and international herbalists and other holistic instructors and vary in level from introductory to advanced. Classes are organized and facilitated by Herbal Underground, an herbalist collective led by graduates of our program.
We are currently offering a number of donation-based classes as part of our Scholarship Fundraiser.

Important Information
Pre-registration is highly recommended! We encourage you to register for classes online. Not only to ensure that you will be able to attend the class (they do fill up!), but also to make sure we can send you any handouts and additional information following the class.

Senior Discount!
Students 65 and older are eligible for a discount on all community classes! $5 off at the door.
Refund Policy
Refunds or class credits will be issued if we are notified within 48 hours of the start of the class time. This policy is out of respect to the community-based nature of our classes, as we plan out schedule according to class-size, buy materials in advance, and our instructors often travel long distances to NYC to teach. Registrants are, however, welcome to transfer their registration to another individual should they be unable to attend.
Cancellation Policy
Should we need to cancel a class, we will provide you with 24 hours notice, and you will receive a 100 percent refund of the cost of the class, or if you prefer, a credit for the rescheduled class or future class. Cancellations will be announced via email to everyone who has registered for the class online as well as posted where appropriate online.
Rain-Date Policy
If an outdoor class is rescheduled due to weather and you cannot make the rain date, you will be offered a credit for a future class of your choice. Please note that classes will not be cancelled due to snow unless public transportation is closed.
